I used to joke and say “whenever there’s a funeral there’s a family fight”. Unfortunately, there was some truth to that saying. Since I became a PFL Estate and Legacy Planning attorney, I have heard horror stories from people in our community about how the lack of proper planning for the future can be devastating for families when it’s needed the most. By providing knowledge about the advantages and necessity of proper planning, it can be truly empowering and gives everyone the “peace of mind” to know that everything will be okay. I graduated from Clemson University with a degree in electrical engineering in 1989. I worked 3 years designing control systems for DuPont before enrolling in the George Washington University National Law Center. I graduated from law school in 1995 and have been an active member of the State Bar of Georgia since. I am an avid weekend golfer who enjoys a relaxing cigar and bourbon.
